Curtis and Sara - Draper Engagement Photography

When I talk to clients about engagements, I like to describe what I imagine the ideal engagement photo to be as “a portrait of love.” I think that’s a perfect phrase.

A good engagement photo is a cute picture of a couple kissing, in the woods, as the sun sets. But a great engagement photo is something more, sure it can feature forest-sunset-kissing, but a great engagement photo also represents something more important and exciting.

To me a great engagement photo should illustrate love. The love that two people who are excited and thrilled and ready to take their first step share. A great engagement photo is a portrait of love.

So when Curtis and Sara told me that they wanted to do part of this engagement shoot at Ikea I was surprised and thrilled. It’s a great, creative idea and I’m thrilled with the results. I feel lucky that they chose me to tag along with them-I love getting to do stuff like this.

Looking for a photographer? My mom says that I’m really fun to be around and I bet we like lots of the same music. Call me today.
