Christmas
Us older cousins use our smaller and more nimble relatives to retrieve gifts. Like submarines they occasionally surface, coming up for air and cookies.

Rollei
While putting a portfolio together I found myself getting sidetracked.

Utah Film Portraits - Landon Young
I've been digging through old negatives this week. Today, I found portraits I made of my friend Landon Young before he left on his mission. Landon recently brought these photos to my attention when he used one as the profile for his band, Dream Eater.
I took these with my Pentax K1000 shortly after high school. In the first one you can see my ghetto-a setup. That right there is about $30 worth of PVC pipe and shop lamps from Home Depot. Note the sparkly ceiling and cloth draped over the main light for a diffusion effect.
Ah yeah.

Provo Family Portraits - The Tanner Family
There are a lot of photos from this session that I'm excited about. My absolute favorite are the two that feature Zach (2nd oldest, 1st biggest) bear hugging all of his smaller siblings. The body language says it all.
I can't imagine way to spend a Sunday morning then making family portraits with the Tanner family.

Order prints and see the full shoot here.

Low Angles, Action Shots and Portraits
Recently I have been going though my old work. These are some pictures I took in high school. They were shot using a Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim. It's been fun for me to see how I've progressed, and what sort of things I was drawn to back then.
Low angles, action shots and portraits.

Monday I post the portraits I made of the Tanner family. I am thrilled with how those turned out, you will be too.
Until then, have a good weekend (and take some pictures!)
