The Crylics at Velour

Velour is an almost perfect venue for shooting a show. It has ample amounts of smoke, good lighting that is always changing and they are completely cool with photographers. Some of the bigger boys in SLC could learn from this place.

The Crylics played at a show on Saint Patrick's Day. This is what it looked like.

Utah Engagements - Kimi and Landon

Saturday I got to shoot two very good friends, Kimi and Landon.

We spent the day driving through town, thinking of places that would work for photos. We took photos on BYU campus, both the Provo and Orem librarys and (My personal favorites) in a field by the Provo Airport.

Of course, the best thing about this day was being able to witness my friends in love. It's great to see friends so happy.

Check back soon for Kimi's bridals. With a face like hers you wont want to miss them.

Word.

Tijuana Bible at F-Stop Cafe

Tijuana Bible played at F-Stop Cafe. Fun was had, nothing was broke and uppity hardcoresters didn't appreciate wrestling moves.

I promise* this will be the last time that I post TJB pictures for a while.

*No I don't.

Photography Zine

If you are like me and sometimes wonder what things look like when you're out in the "real world" then you're in luck. This is a post that illustrates my zines dimensions. Kind of.

This is what it would be like to find my zine.

As you can see here the photo on the left simulates what it would look like to hold my zine while squinting in the park. The photo on the right illustrates what it would be like to find my zine in the park. (If you find the zine next to a condom I recommend NOT picking it up.)

In the photo above you can see how big my zine is compared to a small-ish Shetland. The dog weighs considerably more, but the real question is, can she provide photography related humor and entertainment like I can?

No, as far as I know she cannot.

Here's a shot from the inside of the zine. (I don't have a shot from inside the Shetland.)

This is another shot from the inside of the zine. You can clearly see I've employed "graphic design" in parts of it.

Ok, so now that you know what it's all about go buy the damn thing. If you don't buy it then you might end up spending your hard earned cash on a NPR pledge drive or something.

Besides, the other waterlogged zines in the bathroom need an artsy friend. They're lonely.
